Please note that the setup file uploaded on FileHorse will ask you if you want to download Search Suite with WebDiscover and then ** A better solution is to just delete the most updated Spotify program (file version 1.1.22.633) from within "Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features" and then download the unaffected previous Spotify program (version 1.) from , which does not have a compatibility issue regarding a mouse's side buttons. ![]() Although this is not a complete solution to the problem, it's better than nothing. * I noticed that if you hover the mouse's cursor over the top portion of the desktop app's GUI (on the same parallel plane as where the " forward/back arrows" are displayed ) and then try to use the side buttons on the mouse, they do function. my browser, the keys still work fineĮDIT2: after I activated "stay logged in", pressing the backward navigation key makes the friend feed go completely blank, also it plays the click animation of the object the cursor is currently hovering over and for some objects, it even act's like a click, for example I can resize the right side-bar while holding down the back- or forward key.ĮDIT3: ALT+LEFT and ALT+RIGHT key combinations still work for navigation. This is extremely annoying since this was a very intuitive way of navigating through the app.ĮDIT1: this only changed in Spotify, in every other app like e.g. I tried activating "stay logged in" and then restart the app so that I never visit the login screen and now the key for navigating backwards doesn't do anything at all. the music with the media keys on my keyboard. Navigating forward again takes me to a blank screen only showing the Spotify background. If I try to login again, I get an error message ("service is temporarely unavailable"). Navigating backwards always takes me back to the login screen. ![]() Since I guess the latest Spotify update, the keys for navigating back and forward on my mouse have changed behavior in the Spotify app. Navigating backward and forward using mo.Spotify allows users to change the default download directory while keeping the music files encrypted, and if Deezer is going to cost me upwards of $50/month because of the requirement of streaming, or break my components and cost me well over $200 to replace them, then I’ll be left with no choice but to cancel my subscription and go back to spotify.Īt the very least set the default download location to the windows Music folder so it can be moved to another drive. ![]() If deezer is hiding the downloads directory so they don’t have to encrypt their music, then they have a major security flaw and should not have gotten any licensing agreements in the first place. If deezer is encrypting music as required by licensing agreements, then there should be no problem allowing users to move the directory. Why? I shouldn’t have to buy a new SSD every 6 months because the desktop app forces you to download everything to your C drive, and I shouldn’t have to pay more for my internet each month because everything is being streamed over it, ON TOP of my deezer subscription! This causes my entire computer to be unusably slow because SSDs slow down the more you have on them. All of the default windows directories are located on my 3TB hard drive, yet Deezer insists on saving everything on my C: drive. My SSD is only 120GB, and contains only my operating system. I don’t care if I don’t even have access to the actual folder as long as I can decided WHERE the folder will occupy it’s space.namely, set storage to my external drive.Īllow users to change the music downloads directory. To clarify, I’m not looking for a way to decrypt the music, or play it through a different media player or anything like that. We typically like to keep those SSDs clean and clutter free, storing music, photos and other things of a simple non software nature on a separate drive like a large external drive.Īs it stands, Deezer forces all the downloaded music onto my main Drive, as in the one with my OS and games on it.there is no option to set a different location and I think that would be a pretty solid addition for PC user especially. The reason being many PC users have relatively small Solid state drives that are mainly used for OS/Games for quick load times. I think that a PC (or any user really) should have the option to set the storage location for downloaded music to a folder of their choosing on a drive of their choosing. ![]()
